This year’s Schools Conference will take place at the same venue on Thursday Jan 23rd 2014.. Last year York St John University kindly hosted the second Fairtrade Schools Conference here in York on Wednesday 23rd January,, arranged by York Fair Trade Forum and the Centre for Global Education.
A large number of Primary and Secondary pupils attended, representing schools in the York area and beyond. Workshops, talks, slideshows and two excellent school presentations were enjoyed by all, with the Fairtrade retailer stalls and the Fairtrade baking being especially popular in between the more formal events.
It was an inspiring and uplifting event for all concerned. Congratulations to all the award winners, and we look forward to welcoming even more teachers and pupils next year
