Go Bananas this Fairtrade Fortnight!
Help York Fair Trade Forum and Friends to celebrate the 10th Anniversary of York as a Fairtrade City SATURDAY 8th MARCH 2014
2pm – 5pm in St Helen’s Square: Make Bananas Fair! Come and meet Colombian Fairtrade banana farmer Aimeth, sample banana-themed snacks, find out more about Fairtrade and how to campaign against the unfair banana.
7.30pm – 10pm in the Guildhall: Fairtrade Celebration Party Stalls, live music, raffle and donations bar. Please Bring and Share a savoury or sweet contribution to the finger-buffet if you can; thank you. As we are slightly restricted on numbers it will be very helpful if you tell us that you are coming – please RSVP to: helen@fairtradeyork.org.uk to avoid disappointment, thanks! |
During Fairtrade Fortnight there will be a selection of Fairtrade chocolates and gluten-free biscuits from Fairer World available to buy at the stalls.
